
Beatrice Laryea
Beatrice will serve as a Seminarian at Potomac Presbyterian Church from September 2020 through May 2021. She worked as an Administrative Officer in a motor firm called Automotive and Technical Services, Ltd after college in Ghana. In Osu-Accra, Ghana from February 5, 1990 until March 10, 2013 Beatrice served as a Lay Preacher at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church. While in Ghana, she participated in many mission trips, to the Tamale region, in the northern part of Ghana. Beatrice has been a member of the Potomac Presbyterian Church for seven years since she came from Accra, Ghana in March 2013. While at Potomac Presbyterian Church she went through Stephen Ministry training and was commissioned as a Stephen Minister in the spring of 2016.
Beatrice attended Montgomery College to study caregiving and nursing assistant programs, and successfully completed the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) and Certified Medical Technician (CMT). Additionally Beatrice studied at Medstar Hospital Center, in DC, to become a Chaplain; and preached two Sundays a month at their Rehabilitation Facility until Covid-19 caused the hospital to suspend services until further notice.
Beatrice currently attends Wesley Theological Seminary. In the summer of 2019, and had the privilege of traveling to the Holy Land.
