Maundy Thursday/Celebration of the Lord’s Supper/Stripping of the Chancel
John 13:1-17, 31b-35; Psalm 116
All of our senses are aroused this night of betrayal, as we share in the last supper, and live out acts of service that Jesus models for us in the washing of his disciples’ feet. You are invited to bake something at your home and have it ready to use for the Maundy Thursday meal if you are worshipping from home this night. Also, send in a photo of you engaged in service to others. As we watch the images of acts of service during the Maundy Thursday worship we will be reminded of the new commandment given by our Lord on this night, “that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
