Pandemic Handbell Choir
- We are looking for people/family units/musicians who are willing to try to see if we can get a group of people to try ringing handbells.
- We will hold a few rehearsals, and gain enough knowledge and skill that we can record ourselves playing a piece that would be used as part of our Worship service.
- Will involve in-person rehearsals in the Fellowship Hall (for social distancing)
- Safety precautions will be in effect - Masks required, gloves will be worn, and other precautions will be followed to be as safe as we possibly can be.
- Some ability to read music is required.

Message from Tom Andrew, the Director of Music
- ... This is not our regular Bell Choir. This will be a four week, in person, socially distanced, masked rehearsal in the Fellowship Hall.
- The bell tables will be several feet apart. Each table will have one ringer only, unless ringers are part of a family unit. There will no passing (sharing) of bells. Between tables. You must wear gloves and a mask for the entire rehearsal.
- There will be a brief break mid-rehearsal to go outside and breath fresh air, at a safe distance. We will work on two pieces, with the intent of filming our performance on October 18th for inclusion in Worship services later.
- For these reasons, it will help if you have rung bells before. If you read music, I believe we can get you "up to speed" rather quickly. If you have rung bells before, this may seem a bit 'slow' at first, but I encourage you to be a part of this process if you can do so safely.
- This is an experiment. If your immunity is compromised by pre-existing conditions, I am suggesting you not try this. We are taking extra precautions to be safe, but this a new experience for all of us.
- As we learn more about the corona virus, and see how this goes, there may be other chances for more participants to ring bells; this is a small, careful first step.
- The rehearsal begins at 3 pm. If you are hoping to participate, pleas try to arrive a few minutes early to facilitate this new process. You will find a Signup Genius on the PPC webpage - please sign up to let us know you will be coming.
