Help support our neighbors in need with our newest service project! We’re looking for 15 volunteers to pack food with us at Nourishing Bethesda on Thursday, October 5th from 5 – 7 PM.
The Mission Committee is looking for 15-20 volunteers to help us sort and pack food boxes for distribution to families who struggle with food insecurity in Bethesda. We’re looking for adults and youth (4th graders and up) to join us at Nourishing Bethesda located at the Bethesda Chevy Chase Rescue Squad, 5020 Battery Lane. Sign up through PPC’s SignUp Genius and then fill out a volunteer agreement online. Parents/guardians will need to complete volunteer agreements for anyone 17 and younger. Teens can earn SSL hours for their service.
Nourishing Bethesda’s mission is to fight food insecurity in our area by providing nutritious food and community support to our neighbors in need, as well as offering and linking their clients to wraparound resources that will enable them to build healthier and more stable lives. Fun fact: PPC’s Giving Garden produce is donated to Nourishing Bethesda through HarvestShare.
