The Longest Night Service is a quiet and contemplative worship service. On the longest night of the year when the darkness persists and penetrates we will gather to claim the light of Christ. In the midst of persistent and penetrating darkness you may feel the pain of grief, loss, or instability. You are not alone. Others feel this way and so we will name the darkness and struggle that is all around us, and then we will remind ourselves that the darkness does not have the final say. There is a light that no darkness can overcome. You may want to invite someone you know who has lost a loved one recently to this service.
