Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area (LSSNCA) walks with those in need and mobilizes community partners to provide services that offer hope and rebuild lives.
Please join me in giving a warm PPC welcome to representatives from Lutheran Social Services, National Capital Area, this Sunday, April 11, from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. via Zoom. CEO Kristyn Peck and Director of Community Outreach Dana Lea will share an overview of Lutheran Social Services, which promotes welcoming and compassionate communities through immigrant resettlement, workforce development, and interpretation; family and children’s services, including foster care for unaccompanied refugee minors and adoption services; and health and wellness services.
Ms. Peck has more than 17 years of experience in human services and administrative and legislative advocacy. She has held prior positions in migration and refugee services and policy in Washington, D.C. She has a MSW, a B.A. in Journalism, and a Minor in Spanish from the University of Maryland.
Ms. Lea has a master’s in International Development from the University of Kentucky and has been working in the field of refugee resettlement since 2014. She volunteers with local organizations that spotlight the talents and stories of immigrants and refugees, including KAMA DC and the Immigration Film Festival.
