School Supply Drive for Interfaith Clothing Center School Supplies Program

Sunday, September 10, we will be collecting donations of school supplies for the Interfaith Clothing Center School Supplies Program (a ministry of Interfaith Works). They provide school supplies for children in Montgomery County who would otherwise go without the basic supplies necessary for learning. In particular, they are seeking the following items: 2” 3-ring binders, dividers, filler paper, 2-pocket folders, and highlighters (yellow, pink, & blue). Donations can be placed in the bin in the narthex.

Children ages 3 through Grade 5 will meet on Sunday morning to explore themes from the Bible by digging into stories through drama, games, music, and other creative activities and learning what Bible stories teach us about living according to God’s will in our daily lives. The themes will be taught in 4-6 week units, each unit will include a service project or special event, in addition to either a family event or ways to practice at home what the children are learning in class.

Middle School Youth are invited to explore Bible stories each Sunday in the Middle School Lounge from 10:00-10:50am. Classes, led by Emily Powers, Director of Youth Ministries, explore and reflect on the Bible and what it teaches us about living out our Christian faith.
